ZAIDA // MEMOIRE
"A moorish tale of beauty and courage."
The beautiful princess Zaida, according to an old Spanish fairy tale, was held captive by her father with her two sisters in a tower of the Alhambra, but she managed to escape with courage and determination to spend her life with the beloved prince.
By the way, Zaida really existed. She was the wife of Alfonso VI. of Castile and with her Christian name Isabel she was the ancestor of Queen Elizabeth of England. Their Moorish roots apparently go back to the Prophet Mohamed.
Zaida means "the lucky one" in Arabic!

Marion says:
"Zaida is a very special ring for me. On the one hand because I love the story of Zaida so much (because stories of strong women are always good) and on the other hand because I've liked the design language of the Alhambra ever since I got the first one I've seen a film about it.. Translating all this into jewelry is like a long-cherished dream that comes true.
You can wear the Zaida ring in combination with all sorts of rings. That fits better than you might think at first. Just try it!"
